My partner is currently in the Peace Corps in Africa. He is the only volunteer at his site and has little access to internet connection to get in touch with people back home. We do FB message each other when we can, and send letters frequently (although he has to travel to pick them up). Lately he's been feeling pretty down, which has even made it hard for him to feel positive feelings about things/people he loves. I've been sending him as much love as I can, but I feel pretty helpless all the way across the world. Past or present PCVs, do you have any ideas of anything else I could do that might help or do I just need to come to terms with the fact that I can't help as much as I want to from here?
