First pc used for Gaming/ Music production/ Regular work

I've been given advice to either choose a 13th gen cpu such as i7 13700kf for less of the price or too go for the i9 13900k.

I have the bare basic knowledge on pc building. I just want something that will keep up with all the new gens coming out soon and in the future. I am around 2000-3000 budget. Just wanted extra advice and how to move forward with the build. Thanks!
