is it possible to use an xbox one s bluray drive to rip 4k bluray disks

from a quick search looks like most bluray ODDs for pcs are $150 , but replacement parts for the xbox one s is only about $50. power connectors look proprietary, but should be easy to rewire, data connector looks like sata. wondering if a generic driver would be automatically installed and if i could rip 4k dvds using this method.
