Recently my previous PSU died and I got a replacement for it, a Corsair RMX 750 Gold. However, after reconnecting everything, my GPU had smoke come out of it and my PC shut itself off. The smell is still there but only on the GPU. The wires don't look like they have any melted spots or burn marks.
I disconnected the GPU completely and had everything else connected and everything else turned on as normal, no smoke or smell. Sadly I don't have a backup GPU to check the actual visuals if everything is working but no POST beeps occurred and everything sounded the same when it worked.
I'm trying to see if my old PSU was killing the GPU or if my new PSU killed it. I'm leaning towards my old PSU killing it cause otherwise I wouldn't expect my other parts connected to the mobo to power on without any burning/sparking/smoking
