I think I've had this laptop for probably 12 years and it's definitely showing its age, but for the most part it works pretty well and I like how it operates... When it was operating that it. Last week I used the Windows key to put it to sleep, and the next day it was completely dead. I spoke with Asus support who told me to try a hard reset by holding down the power button for a minute, but that didn't work. I've tried removing the battery multiple times which also did nothing. It's a newer battery so I don't think that's the cause, and it's not worth taking to a repair shop.
Any other steps to try? It feels like the hinges are loose, so is it possible it is not recognizing that it's open? I get zero indicator lights on.
Specs: ancient Asus K60ij laptop, running Windows 10.
