Hello everyone,
I recently changed my RAM from 8x2 gb 4000 mhz to 16x2 gb 3600 mhz. I know some people will say, "what is the point of that?" But I had a buddy that had new spare parts and I am going to be running more intensive 3D graphic design programs, as well as more high res gaming. I know RAM doesn't do much for high-res gaming and now the speed is slightly decreased. What I've noticed is that when I'm running some games, there is some FPS loss. I was running on XMP 1 with my previous RAM and changed memory settings in bios to reflect the correct speed and kept it on XMP 1. On the RAM itself, it says it is XMP 2 ready, but I was able to boot up and run my games fine. I'm just confused why there is an fps loss. Does anyone know why this might be?
