Hey so a friend actually did most of the work building my PC with me a few years ago, and while I’ve been decently fine doing maintenance on my own I’ve run into an issue. After a series of short blackouts I have been receiving an Unstable Memory Error on my Motherboard, resulting in issues going into sleep mode and occasional (though rare) crashes. There has, however, been no issue with files corrupting which is good because this is chiefly my film editing PC. Now I’ve been struggling to divine the best method to fix it, and have been wondering if I just need to to buy some new sticks of RAM. I’m working with an ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Extreme, and the error has been a 6f. Is replacing the RAM the correct move and if so what should I replace it with? I do apologize, I’m not the most knowledgeable about the nomenclature, again I used to have the friend to help but he is no longer with us.
