GPU broke, been using on board graphics. My computer has gotten notably slower and slower the longer I have had no GPU in it.. Should I be worried?

Post Body

So I haven't had a GPU in here for like 2 weeks now, but I have been using the on board to do daily things like school work, watch movies/netflix etc. Well I have noticed my PC get slower as well as the monitor cuts out more often, like it goes black for 5 seconds and comes back, or I notice a cluster of pixels(Small, in random spots at random times)will show up red and go away, as the days have gone by.. I do have an air cooler that I haven't exactly kept up on cleaning so it's thermal performance probably is not the best. Just worried running it like this is possibly putting to much load on my CPU and it not venting well enough?

Edit: I wanted to ad, it has gotten slower since day 1. I know taking the GPU out will degrade the performance of my PC, but I notice that the performance has been degrading slowly as time goes on and the only difference is there is no GPU in there.
