As a 1080 Ti owner, I get madder every day about the 3080 only having 10GB. What do you guys think?
Post Body

I'm ready to buy a new card. I like the performance and price of the 3080. I don't want to buy a new GPU every year, and I know that 10GB will be obsolete years earlier than necessary. Our 1080 Tis from 2017 have 11GB.

I've heard rumors of a 20GB 3080, but from what I read that won't come out for many months, and will likely cost $100 more, kind of ruining the value proposition.

I fear big Navi is our only hope. AMD needs to make an amazing card with 16GB at 3070 prices to force Ti or Super variants on an accelerated schedule. Maybe even the AMD card will be good enough to just buy outright.

I feel like nvidia trapped us perfectly. I'm mad about it. Jensen was being a little dishonest when he said it was safe for pascal owners to upgrade, at least 1080 Ti owners.
