Is the upgrade from nvidia 1080 to the rtx 3080 worth it on my system?

Hello
Currently i own a 1080 and saw the rtx 3080 for around 800$ i wss thinking is it worth it for me? I play on a 1080p monitor with 16gb of ram with a i7 8700 cpu.
Is my cpu gonna bottleneck the 3080 or will i be fine? Not planning on upgrading cpu
