Preparing a first build help
Post Body

So I'm finally joining the ranks and have a bit of money to play with on building my first glorious PC. I am just not very good at knowing which parts compare with others and whether or not its actually worth it so I thought here would be the best place to ask for help. The to be rigs specs at the moment are likely to be:

  • Case: Cougar MX330 ATX Mid Tower

  • Motherboard: Gigabyte Z370P D3 ATX LGA1151

  • CPU: intel core I7 8700K 3.7GHz hex

  • CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Masterliquid ML240L (66.7 CFM)

  • Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4-3000

  • GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB

  • Storage: Kingston 120GB SSD 2.5" (OS most likely only). Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD 3.5" 7200RPM

  • Power: Corsair CX (2017) 650W 80 Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

  • Wireless adaptor: TP-link TL-WN881ND PCI-Express (802.11b/g/n)

This totals at $1855.01 (AUD) on PCpartPicker. What I'm really asking is if there are other parts that might be cheaper, even slightly, and/or better than what I've got here, slightly more expensive if better is good too.

  • Edit 1: CPU, motherboard and price after suggestions from u/mihaibaiasu1
  • Edit 2: Motherboard, PSU, Case, RAM and price after suggestions from u/A_Neaunimes
  • Edit 3: RAM to dual stick as advised by u/A_Neaunimes and price
