Just finished my first build and find my GPU’s high temps annoying. Set a custom fan curve but the sheer volume of the gpus fan annoys me. Installed an extra intake fan since I had space, but that hasn’t really made much of a difference. Thought about it for a minute, and wondered if the fan speed on my Kraken X62 was simply too low (since it’s fans are pretty much what’s cooling the inside of my case). Went into CAM to see what the two 140 mm were running at and they are around 50%. Looked into setting a custom fan curve on the two 140 mm until I realized that their increase in speed would only result from cpu temp increases. My cpu temps are great, so I’m only looking to cool off my gpu. I know I should just suck it up and install a water cooler on my gpu but want to avoid it if possible. I’ll list my build below for info.
