Will I see a noticeable fps increase overclocking an FX 8350 with a GTX 970
Post Body

I've been finding that I'm getting lower than desirable fps in many cpu intensive games. If I overclocked from the stock 4.0 ghz to say 4.5, is it likely that I would see a noticeable change, or is it likely going to be very minimal. I would consider an increase of 5 fps to be substantial.

Comments

For the most part, overclocking won't get you "substantial" gains whether this is CPU or gpu.

At most 10-20%.

If you have to buy an outdated mobo to oc, you're better off saving for a newer architecture like am4
