How to get rid of lag comp?(fps games)

I mostly play call of duty and i've for example 4 hitmarkers while i die within 2 shots or get shot around the corner. Is there a way to get rid of that problem? Ive an moderate nat type and open is not possible i still live with my parents and thet dont want to open it.
But is nat type than really the problem or is there something i can do to improve connection?
Im on cable not wifi for anyone would.like to know
