Moving long distance, take desktop or let packers ship?
Post Body

I've always done moves myself, but I'm currently ETSing from the military and the Army pays for movers. Since I don't have much stuff (yay barracks) I figured it would be simpler to let them do it, but my gaming rig is easily the most expensive thing I own.

I've been on the fence about letting the movers take it up instead of squeezing that fat bastard into my car, especially since I have AIO water coolers for GPU and CPU and it's going up to Portland, Oregon, where it's much much colder than down here in Texas. Don't know if it'll matter while it's sitting there in a truck or warehouse.

Anyway yeah this is a stupid post, I'm just wondering what you guys have done/would do when it comes to long distance moving and your battlestations? No one ever seems to talk about how you get that $4000 setup safely and in one piece somewhere else, lol.

Comments

You can remove aio cooler, mobo, and gpu.

Everything else should be fine
