Hey all, just installed new thermal pads from EVGA. Upon opening up the card, I immediately noticed that the thermal paste was way too thin.
I was getting 84 C playing in overwatch , high settings at 200 fps. Now that I installed the pads and new thermal paste, I hold at 64 C playing the same settings.
If anyone has questions about this process lmk. I didn't bother to take pictures of the whole ordeal since there are a lot of guides.
Conclusion, I definitely recommend installing new thermal paste if your GPU is hotter than what bench marks say they're supposed to run.
