This is my current configuration. Since I have overheating issues on both the CPU and GPU (everything is clean and the CPU thermal paste is fresh), I have already decided to replace the stock CPU fan & heatsink with a better one. Regarding the GTX 970, I'm also replacing it this week with a Gainward GTX 1060 Phoenix that should perform at a lower temperature.
Regarding the RAM, I have a different model than the one listed there. It's an Elixir 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600, but this was not available on pcpartpicker.
I'm using a 60Hz 1080p monitor so I'm interested in being able to keep playing games at 1080p 60FPS, hence my question. Other than the new fan/heatsink and the GPU, should I upgrade anything else next in order to keep playing at 1080p 60FPS for the year to come? I'm aware that the motherboard is not the best and the RAM is kind of a no name brand, but I don't know how relevant this is.
Thanks a lot!
