Thinking of upgrading to Win 10. Is it worth it?

Hello brothers. So currently i am using Win 7 Ultimate and have done for a long time. But lately i am thinking of moving to Win 10, before they drop the Free upgrade.
- Is it worth moving to Win 10?
- What should i know before i do?
- Can you run Win 7 programs? Heard horror stories of Win 10 uninstalling apps on it's own.
- Any common driver, program, error issues?
