I'm looking to make a small form gaming PC, I'd like some advice particularly on the GPU/CPU balance. This PC will be 100% for gaming.
I have a PSU and an HDD that I'll reuse, 750W modular PSU, 1TB HDD. So I need: Mobo, CPU, GPU, RAM, and case.
I'm in the UK, I don't think I want to do any over clocking this time. I'm trying to budget around £350 ±50. I'll be looking out for any offer on Amazon Prime Day.
I'd like to keep it extremely compact, so I'm looking at Mini ITX, which also means Intel CPU is best bet for compatibility, future upgrades, and being generally cool.
GPU I'd have a slight Nvida preference for being cooler in this small case, but I currently have an ATI so I'd be open to AMD if it truly made sense.
Parts list below. Obviously the i3 seems like it could be an issue but as far as I can see from benchmarks, it won't throttle any GPU I'd be looking at in most games, the slot will be open for an upgrade to an i5 later, and as I say, I'm only using this for gaming. In the UK this i3 is £87, the cheapest i5 is around £140.
As I said, I'm not set on any parts as must have, and also I'm equally considering Cooler Master Elite 130 for the case. I'm targeting 1080p, >45 FPS, I have 1080p screens and I personally don't benefit much from higher FPS.
