Brothers, I heff a dilemma

I need a computer for school.
I should have enough monies to get a decent one by the time school starts.
This is not the problem.
The problems are, in order of personal hype, GTX 880, DDR4, Haswell-E.
I could either: build a cheap gaming rig and sell it once everything new comes out, build a rig based on the Z97 platform and wait for the 880, or I could build a decent rig and just stay with that.
What should I do?
