I have an RTX 4080 Super and I have recently noticed blue screens when launching some old games like portal 2 and skyrim, it happens exactly while the game is loading, the error is caused by the "nvlddmkm.sys" driver.
I have tried many things, one of them is that I used DDU to uninstall the Nvidia driver, I rebooted, I let windows install an old version of the driver (I think it was 551 or something like that) and with that version I could NOT replicate the screenshot error blue when starting the games.
On the other hand, with the latest versions of the driver (installed after cleaning with DDU) 566.36, 566.14, 566.03, 565.90, the blue screen problem occurs when launching skyrim, but it only occurs if I activate gsync in the nvidia control panel, if I disable this, it does not happen with the latest version of the driver.
But, with the old version of the Nvidia driver that automatically installs Windows it does not happen even with gsync activated.
I use windows 11 pro 24H2
Does something similar happen to anyone else? I'm desperate with this.
Thanks.
