Please help, pc won’t run 4 ram sticks

Alright boys, I’ve had my pc for about two years now and I’ve always had issues with it that I e been able to fix but this has got me stumped, for about a year my pc was very capable and able to run my 4 8gb ddr4 ram sticks now all of a sudden it won’t boot unless I run 2 sticks in the 2nd and 4th slot. All the sticks are compatible as they were running perfectly fine prior. Some help would be greatly appreciated
