Post Body

Hi, so I have a drive I removed from an old laptop I found. I have important photos and files on there. My drive is from 2013. Windows 7 era I think, I'm worried about plugging it into my new system since I'm not sure if the drive is free of malware/viruses. I don't have a second system to scan the drive before since the laptop doesn't power on. How would I go about this? I was thinking about plugging in my drive to my system with the Internet disabled and running a scan via Windows defender, my concern is windows defender detection rate. What do you guys advise?
