Okay. So first off I just upgrade my GPU to a 4080 as I got a super good price on it and I plan to upgrade to a whole new pc here soon.
I7-9700k Gigabyte 4080 aero OC ASUS PRIME Z390A 2x16GB 3200mhz Corsair RM1000E
So I uninstalled my old 2070 super drivers and installed the respective drivers from Gigabytes site and updated to most current drivers on GeForce Experience.
Cyber Punk seemed to run a lot smoother. The picture Wasn’t as grainy and I wanted to test my card. I turned on path tracing and I notice the picture quality got worse but I was still getting 70fps.
Go onto KSP2 and I’m living a dream. Solid 60FPS everything maxed and my picture actually looks clear compared to my 2070Super.
But I throw of MSFS2020 and it tells me I need to update to the most recent graphics card driver. By not doing so, I could potentially damage my PC.
I checked online and I read it could be a hood thing but I’m not too great with the software aspect side of things and I’ve heard a bios update should only be done if necessary and are risky.
TLDR: Uninstalled old drivers. Installed new ones. 4080 seems amazing. MSFS2020 says my drivers are a no go and I could hurt my computer. Google tells me a scary answer.
Any help would be appreciated.
