So I currently have the hyper x quadcast s which has been a good mic so far, however I just saw this low cost entry into xlr and am unsure if it’s worth it. To preface I payed around $120-130 I believe for the quadcast s and I’m seeing this (new?) mic called the fifine am8 usb/xlr mic for $50, but the company fifine also sells an xlr interface for $50 as well and both seem to be reviewing very well so far. It’s hard for me to make the decision considering that both an xlr mic with a good looking interface would cost less than my quadcast s(not factoring the xlr cable but I can get one for $8 on Amazon). My primary mic use currently is just chatting over discord but I am very much interested in doing content creation as a hobby in the near future. I’m thinking I could recoup most of the cost of the quadcast by reselling locally or on eBay. If anyone more experienced with audio could give me some input I’d very much appreciate it :)
