Moving somewhere where I can’t hardwire my pc into internet so need a good wireless suggestion.

As title says, I’m about to be unable to hardwire in so I need a good wireless option. I tried a Netgear nighthawk adapter before and it was awful. Had lag spike every 1-2 minutes. Wasn’t sure if there is a better option for an adapter or a wireless card maybe but I don’t know if I have the technical skill to install one of those. Any advice is appreciated.
