PC has been causing some issues and planning on upgrading it to fix it.

The reason why I am planning on upgrading it is because the pc is acting weird, for example, when playing league of legends, I can’t have anything else that isn’t discord and iTunes open and I have to run it to the lowest graphics possible or the fps drops in team fights are horrendous they can sometimes even occur without much happening. I mean I know I don’t have the best pc out there, but certainly not so bad for me to have to play league of legends in the lowest graphic setting possible. Specs: NVIDIA MSI 1650 4gb, Ryzen 5 3400g. Motherboard Asus TUF x570-Plus Wifi, 16gb ddr4 hyperx single stick RAM. 256 ssd and 1tb hdd. I was thinking that maybe the processor is causing the problem. A friend of mine suggested me the ryzen 5 5600x but idk if the processor is the way to go or the graphics card. Also I am thinking of adding an extra 8gb or 16gb RAM.
Could someone help me on guiding me what to do and how to fix it? Thank you.
