PC Slow after adding RAM.
Post Body

I bought my PC from NZXT around 2 years ago and it originally had two 16 GB sticks of RAM. I added 2 more sticks of 32 GB RAM of the same brand and afterward my PC was extremely slow.

I turned on XMP and then my PC wouldn't boot.

I reset the CMOS this morning and my PC boots but it is still slower than before I added the RAM and I get FPS drops when gaming.

I turned on XMP again but on reboot I got a failed to boot error and had to go back to no XMP in BIOS.

I'm not sure what next steps to try. UserBenchmark says my PC is performing below expectations (https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/59332369).

Here are my parts that I believe are relevant:

  • Gigabyte Z490 AORUS PRO AX × 1
  • PNY GeForce RTXâ„¢ 3090 XLR8 Gaming Revel Epic-X 24G × 1
  • Intel Core i9-10900K 10-Core 3.7GHz × 1
  • G.SKILL Trident Z Royal RGB 3600MHz 2 X 16 GB

And then the RAM I added:

  • G.Skill Trident Z Royal 2 x 32GB 288-Pin SDRAM (PC4-28800) DDR4 3600 CL18-22-22-42 1.35V F4-3600C18D-64GTRS
