No videos files are working anymore. win10

I don't know if it was a windows update or what but every video file i have that used to work no longer functions even new ones all i get is: Choose something else to play. This item is in a format we don't support. 0xc00d36b4 . If anyone knows a solution to this or if its a wide spread issues please help me out here.
