Sata port corrosion, thoughts on fixing?

Post Body

Hi everyone. I have discovered that the sata ports on my motherboard have corrosion on the contacts and some if the sata cables have gone bad too.

Any thoughts on a spray or an easy way to clean the contacts in the ports? I have used a dry q-tip to loosen up the corrison but I can also see there is still some left.

Basically it is caused my ssd / cd-rom to be intermittently detected through bios. Some times they are there other times they are not.

The motherboard is an Asus maximus VI hero.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks
