Can't connect pc to sony bravia

So just got my rtx 3080 and all set up and when connecting to my sony tv it just loses signal. I have a soniq that it works on fine but restricted to 30hz refresh rate. Yuck. What can I do to fix this or am I waiting to either break the bank for the LG CX tv or top of the line monitor. Any help will be appreciated
