Hopefully someone can lend me some aide. Been struggling with my PC not running properly (optimally seems a far horizon atm). My computer ran okay until I switched monitors. I was running
- Samsung LC27F398FWNXZA Samsung C27F398 27" Curved Monitor
-ASUS VS228H-P 21.5" Full HD 1920x1080 HDMI DVI VGA Back-lit LED Monitor
as my two monitors for a while and decided to upgrade to a monitor that would give me better FPS when gaming. Saw this monitor go on sale and purchased it.
-Acer XF250Q Cbmiiprx 24.5" Full HD (1920 x 1080) Zero Frame TN Gaming G-SYNC Compatible Monitor - 1ms | 240Hz Refresh (Display, HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.4 ports)
Swapped out the ASUS and had the Acer be my primary and Samsung be my secondary. Prior to this swap, I was running 60 FPS pretty consistently across all games (mainly play Overwatch and Sea of Thieves with a few RPGs tossed in here and there). The minute I swapped I started to experience frame drops, full stutters and wasn't getting about 80 fps despite changing internal settings. Checked to make sure all of my settings were correct, updated all drivers and still nothing worked. Started having issues where my Disk and Memory were using 100% of the computers capacity and my entire computer was stalling. Games were unplayable. Factory reset everything in a last ditch effort and tried to run anything I could. Now I have no dropped frames (to the point where the game stutters) but they still linger around 60 FPS in OW and 20 in SoT. My Disk and Memory will still shoot up from time to time. I am not sure what piece of equipment to look at next to test/replace and I partially want to chuck my system out the window and buy another just to not deal with this issue anymore.
Any advice is welcomed! Thank you in advance!
