How to check pole sitter's lap time?

I must be losing my marbles but I simply have not been able to find out this very simple information on the HUD. How do I know what the pole sitter's current lap time is without going into the pits/monitor? Every racing game Ive played has this feature but I cant find it on Pcars for the life of me. Am I missing something simple?
