I tried searching and wasn’t able to find a similar case.
Try to keep this as short as possible. December of 2023 I ordered $1800 of merch from Filson in Seattle. I received the shipments in two different shipments (which is a whole other issue). Per Filson’s return policy and return shipping label is provided with each shipment. I return all $1800 of merch and have tracking # and who signed for the return shipments. Filson refunded the first shipment for $668.82. The second return was done after the initial return using the second return shipping label with the remaining items in my order. Shipment was delivered, but refund was never issued.
Here comes the fun part.
I did all of these transactions through PayPal Credit (Syncrony Bank). I opened a dispute with PayPal Credit to dispute the missing refund. As far as I can tell PayPal Credit made a mistake and tried to dispute the whole amount ($1800) instead of the $1100 and change from second return. You would have to see the account statements to follow all this.
The issue is, PayPal thinks I have received two refunds for $668.82, but I can’t find any indication of me receiving double refunds. My PayPal account has been locked, I have already lost $100 that was transferred to me for my BD.
I just want to be able to talk to someone at PayPal that can explain that I do in fact owe the money. If I do, no problem, I will pay it. I have scrubbed my account statements from when this all started and see no double refunds.
My account has been turned over to collections, so when I try calling PayPal, I get the collection agency that only cares about me paying the amount owed. Nothing to do with trying to sort this was out. I have also contacted PayPal credit. Apparently the two companies don’t really talk to each other.
So, how do I contact a person at PayPal that can help get resolution on this matter ?
