Won a buyer dispute and received money back - does seller lose money?

Hey all. Quick question. I paid for an item via Paypal Goods & Services. Seller never shipped it and wasn't replying to any of my messages, so I opened a dispute, provided evidence/screenshots as well. A week later or so, I had it escalated (the seller never responded to Paypal either), and I ended up winning the dispute and getting my money back. Does the seller lose the money (does Paypal take the money back from the seller)? I hope so but just curious ultimately.
