Since day one of crimefest there has been a lot of posts on this sub about why the first update is awful. When microtransactions for an unboxing model were announced I was quite upset because I thought crimefest was supposed to be full of free updates and this hardly seems free. This is a legitimate gripe to have and I still wish there was some way to maybe reward players with skins in game for the effort they put in rather than just a pretty low drop chance for a safe and a pretty low drop chance for a drill and you better hope the two match. This is not the thing I am focusing on in this post however. Something that was also thrown around a lot on day one and the days to follow are the stat modifications on skins and how they would be game breaking and the game would become pay to win.

In short, so far I see no reason to think that these stat boosts will make the game pay to win and so why I'm still pissed there is basically no hope for me to make my gun look like a damn peacock without paying money, at least I know I'm not missing out on any crazy buffs by not buying in.

The first if from the crimefest page and the second I found on a youtube video. A 4 stability mod is not pay to win in my book and neither is a 1 total amo on the Thanatos sniper. Sure each bullet is like a kick from a Maglev Bullet Train but one extra bullet does not a succesful heist make.

In addition, equipping a stat skin removes the stats from any modification you put on the gun! That might make the gun worse in some cases.

I would love for some of you heisters to post some pics of stat skins you have in an effort to get more examples and see how "pay to win" or not skins make the game.

TL;DR- Pissed about micro transactions. Seems like stat skins don't make the game pay to win. Less pissed. Post pics of stat skins pls to confirm of deny their pay to win-ness.

Edit: Apparently the mods from skins don't delete mods from attachments, only the higher tear skins do and they have their own weapon attachments. But still, can I replicate a higher tear skin's effect with in game stuff and if so, then the skins still don't seem pay to win.
