Intro

I just want to showcase this game a little bit, because honestly it blew my mind. It's not perfect but it's so unique. I recently started a channel, and was looking around to play a game with a friend, and given that we didn't want to find a new game, we saw that we both had Sanctum 2. I never heard of it, be he had, so we gave it a try. and OH MY LORD.

It's basically a tower defense game mixed with fps, so yeah, it's really fun. You basically defend waves, have levels that unlock more towers, have options that make the enemies harder, but give you more exp at the end of the map. You basically have a lot of maps, 16 I believe for the base game, and the DLC bring a lot more although I don't have those. From what I read they are really worth it. A usual games took us both around 15-30 minutes, even with a lot of planning between waves. Oh yeah each map as a set amount of waves, and you need to defend your core. That is basically the game. Some of the big positives of the game are that it's fast paces, and fun. The enemies are really well designed, I also think coop is really good. We didn't experience issues with coop at all honestly.

Now a couple of my issues with the game so far (didn't finish it yet), some maps can be really easy, while some can be extremely hard, although that might have to do with the fact, that we both went blind into the game so yeah. Some maps are not designed that well, we sometimes fell through the map, and it really is annoying. Some enemies can feel really unfair, and sometimes you can die extremely randomly, or maybe in a stupid way. Imagine this: A boss comes, I stand on wall placed by us far away, and the boss destroys a couple of walls, and they are not that high, but I died instantly, which seemed really unfair, and illogical.

I recommend everyone to try it out, I got it a couple of years ago on Humble Bundle, but it's 15 bucks on Steam, and you can buy 4 copies for 45 bucks, which with friends can be a lot of fun. Honestly with the DLC I would wait for a sale, because buying all would cost 24 bucks, which is pretty steep imo. Although from what I read the DLC are really worth it, and are not the cashgrabs of today.

Oh yeah, almost forgot: You can choose different characters, 4 to be exxact plus 1 with a DLC, and you can customize their secondary weapon (all have a different primary), plus what towers you bring every map, plus some perks that you can unlock when advancing levels.

If you want you could also check us out, but honestly we are not that good, and went in it blind so yeah. I recommend this game to everyone who like/ loves Strategy FPS, although even if you love tower defense games it's really fun, because I hate FPS games usually.
