Red Faction : my personal favourite in the franchise. If you love old school fps games like Half-Life ,Deus Ex and Soldier of Fortune,this game is right up your alley.

Red Faction II : might as well be called "some factions I" cause it has nothing to do with the first one. The story is predictable as hell and where as the first game is one long game with no loading screens where you can save when you want,this one is a bunch of short levels with checkpoints. The gunplay in itself is ok .

Red Faction Guerrilla : you just have to play it to experience the destruction in this game ,however the game does feel like thats the whole focus of the game ,making everything else in it feel unpolished. The locations are also quite nice.

Red Faction Armageddon : don,t , just don,t . Especially on steam where it crashes every 5 - 15 minutes. They made so many baffling decisions with this game,Guerrilla had a big open world, this one is not and top of that it,s extremely linear ,you even get a warning and timer when you try to backtrack a bit. Armageddon also seems to drag on forever, where in all the other games after you beat the final boss,the game ends,in Armageddon you still have to go on through tedious, endless minion - filled sections.

Overall , i can only recommend the first one and Guerilla.
