Replayed the redux metro games ( 2033,last light) on PC.
Post Body

The games have been on sale on PC so I picked both up. Been a pretty fun experience besides a few annoying bugs ill get into. Overall I've been a fan of survival type games ( horror, post apocalypse etc) I recommend both games simply if you want something different and your tired of the same old shit. The metro series is very unique and worth playing.

The good: the redux really fixed some things with the old games the graphics look stunning, made some parts of the games less frustrating. They mix things up nicely ( giving you different scenarios ( waves of creatures, human encounters), also what I like is with the human enemy encounters you have the choice of going stealthy or having firefights, there's a morality system in the games where you can have different endings which I enjoy in games. The main currency is military grade ammo which you could put into your gun for more damage but at the expense of your cash. Such a unique system.

Some of my favorite moments is being stealthy taking out entire enemy camps. Its almost like a puzzle game. Very satisfying.

The bad : I encountered some annoying glitches on PC for metro 2033 there's a turret sequence where I couldn't look up and down so I died multiple times cause I couldn't point the gun down to kill enemies. Reloaded the chapter and plugged in a game pad to fix it.

Second glitch is in metro last light where after the "bandit chapter" the prompt for stealth knockouts or kills just disappears. Which is annoying as hell if your trying to go for the good endings and things like that.

I find metro last light has some problems it felt like call of duty at certain points with quick time events, slow motion explosions. The writing in last light i felt had a good first half but towards the end I was just meh on it. The games have tons of dream sequences, flash backs, and delves into supernatural elements which i felt mixed on at certain points.

The games aren't perfect I find the enemy AI could be real dumb at times. Your main character never talks, the silent protagonist is a thing of the past for a reason cause chsracters just talk at you and you never respond. Its weird at times.

Overall I wanted something different and I got it. I was addicted and played both games in a row. I also picked up metro exodus on the epic games store on sale and I'm so excited to play it.
