Recently discovered the Yakuza series and it was love at first sight. I played 0 on Xbox GamePass and before I knew it I bought them all on my PlayStation.

I’ve been a little apprehensive with 3 when I started playing it. It was slightly jarring to go from 0, K1, K2, to the different presentation in Y3. Not to mention how OP your opponents blocking is.

However, the moment Riona says she can’t date a black guy joke made me just say fuck this game. I get that the other characters are shocked by her saying this, but it’s just so awkwardly handled.

I was absolutely blown away by the story of 0, 1, and 2 - but now I feel like I’m being held hostage by Ryu Ga Gotoku. Yakuza veterans, how many of you have skipped this game?
