Best bang for buck? Very Indecisive.
Post Body

Hey, I'm pretty indecisive and wanted some input from you guys.

So basically I have $100 in store credit and am putting a soft max of $200 for a big christmas buy for myself. Consoles I own are

  • Mid range gaming PC (primary gaming device)
  • N 3ds
  • Ps3
  • Wii

I really love my pc and ps3, they probably get the most usage. My 3ds is modded with a ton of games so it is great for on the go and nintendo games. The wii I've had for awhile, but is primarly for a handful of wii games, GC games, and some lite emulation. I have spent years on my pc as my main gaming device so I've collected a TON of games and a lot of the ports from pc games to console (Hollow knight, overwatch, dead cells, etc) will most likely not be a hard selling point on any of these consoles.

My ideas are either for a gift to myself are:

  • Wii U 32gb ($150) w/ Breath of the Wild (~$45)

-I like the idea of the wii u because of the virtual console, modding capability, and it has some "modern" game I haven't been able to play like Breath of the Wild, Toad Treasure Tracker, HD Zelda games, and any other recent nintendo games since those games are the ones I'm most behind on.

  • Switch ($300) or Switch Lite($200)

After the research I've done, Im sure id rather have the ability to dock and play with friends so the switch lite most likely isn't for me. The main switch would go a lil beyond my budget since I will want to pick up atleast 1 game to have for it. BotW, Mario oddysey, Smash bros, Mario Maker 2 are all games I would be looking forward to, but most likely will not be picking up a lot of them at the time of purchase.

  • Ps4 w/ God of War, Last of Us, and Horizon Zero Dawn ($250)

This will most likely be used for Bloodbourne. The bundled games are more of a bonus. I already have a ps3 for some of it's exsclusives so there might be some overlap. I do all my multiplayer gaming on my PC so I dont plan on getting PS at all. Besides Bloodbourne the other games I'm interested in are inFamous(on ps3), God of War, and Persona 5.

  • Misc games and accesories

The final option would be to just grab some more games and accessories for the consoles I already own. Like Uncharted collection, inFamous collection, God of War collection, Xenoblade for 3ds, maybe ps3 move(seems fun, but probably not worth it in long run), extra wiimote to play w friends, Pc games (I have almost 300 games in my wishlist because I love browsing hidden gem threads), etc.

Thanks if you got this far. I would love to hear your suggestion/tips on any of these ideas or any new ideas I can't think of. Merry holidays!
