Also, which version do you prefer? Ys I: Ancient Ys Vanished (NES) or Ys: The Vanished Omens (Master System)? Sorry for the crossposting

EDIT: after getting the shield I feel stupid for even asking about combat. You basically just run into the enemies. I'm still interested to hear opinions on version superiority and differences.
