A system to be more picky about game purchases?
Post Body

Hey all,

I've been doing pretty well diminishing my backlog, and it's getting to be that time of year (Black Friday) when patience pays off and there are solid deals. Since my gaming time has become fairly limited, does anyone have a system they use to be really selective about what they buy?

IE:

  • It won X "game of the year" awards
  • All my gaming friends gave it a ringing endorsement
  • /r/patientgamers universally loves it

I enjoy many genres, but I'm trying to be picky and avoid making purchases solely because stuff is on sale and end up not playing it.
