Lately I've been seeing some derision or even outright hostility toward players who've been expressing concern about existing builds becoming unplayable in the next build, both here and in the official forums. I get that new league always means taking on new challenges and one way of going about that is a new build and in a game with so many potential builds there's nothing wrong with going in a totally diferent direction, but I think there's also value in adapting pre-existing builds and carrying them over
Tackling new league mechanics with a build you enjoyed or exploring different variations on a theme can feel like taking an old friend on a new adventure. I was the kid who'd incorporate new lego sets into her old ones instead of doing something standalone, so I definitely get this way of looking at the game
Please don't misunderstand. I'm not trying to promote one way of playing or the other, saying pre-existing builds should or shouldn't get nerfed or buffed, or tryna bash on 3.16. I just feel like there's plenty of space for both these ways of playing to co-exist, and we're all here for the same reason - to enjoy a game we love - so there's no sense attacking each other and it doesn't cost anything to extend some understanding
We're all on the same side in the end, you know?
