I'm not sure if this is common knowledge, but you can chain cast the beam by casting another spell. This removes the animation where you bring up your hands up to channel, and for me, it feels more fluid (especially for delves!)

I'm terrible at explaining so I'll type up a scenario.

In this situation, your Divine Ire is on Q, and Arc (or any other spell) is on E.

  • Divine Ire = Q
  • Other spell = E

Normally you charge up the beam with Q, and then release Q to shoot it out. In this situation you're constantly holding Q, and then letting it go whilst your character brings their arms up and down.

Now for what I found, you would hold down Q and tap E (for your other spell). Holding down Q channels the Divine Ire, and tapping E releases the Divine Ire Beam. Your arms stay are in the air the entire time, and I personally prefer tapping a button as opposed to holding it down and letting go.

I just found this out about an hour ago and thought I'd share in case people don't know. A few final words I'd like to add is that you do not have to use these hotkeys, and spamming the other spell will cast said spell. You need to have charged up the beam for it to fire.

If there are any problems with what I've found, or people figure out more let me know!
