Need help from veteran players!

I really want to make my own league starter build this time and I need some help.
I want to play that new Soulrend DOT and can't decide which ascendancy to take - Witch/Occultist or Shadow/Trickster.
Can someone give me some pros/cons about both. Going to play SC , so i might prefer damage over tankiness.
