A little background: I'm playing an Aegis Aurora Gladiator. Currently I have 30% chance to bleed (42% if I use Dragoon Sword) and 25% chance to poison against bleeding enemies and I'm playing Blade Flurry with 5.4 APS.
I have 5.1k HP and 1.2k ES right now.
I have 3 options:
Voidheart> Really ups the % to both bleed and poison and gives some added dmg life.
Ming's Heart: This brings me from -44% chaos res to 18% and only eats 80 ES and 250 Life as well as providing a huge 300 DPS increase and since it's chaos damage also boosts my poison.
Steel Ring: This can potentially get close to Ming's on tooltip sheet if I have really good implicit and physical roll on the ring. Also can give me 70 HP/ 40ES/ STR or Dex (I'm running Astramentis/Shaper's Touch as well). Resistance rolls not really needed as I have far over max even with 1 ring slot giving me nothing.
My question is...Steel Ring being the most expensive of the bunch offer's more EHP, but lower damage potential? Voidheart I'm not sure where it fits on the damage scale because it's hard to quantify how important those added %'s are considering how fast I attack, and then Ming's for the most damage poison double dip as well as really boosting my Chaos Res with such a minor downside.
Where would you guys stand? So far I'm thinking I'm going to roll with Ming's and then try and upgrade into a really nice Steel Ring later in the league? That's of course with the caveat that having such huge -% chaos res isn't such a big deal. What are your guys thoughts?
