Hey everyone! Just wanted to share the initial progress on my Etsy side hustle journey…. introducing Alora Occasions! I decided for this project I will be selling digital invitations templates that customers can fill in and print or send virtually.
Before I start any business, I always purchase my power of 3 journal to help me plan out all the steps and goals I need to hit in order to launch and carry out the side hustle.
The first few steps I wanted to carry out was building the brand and deciding what I was going to sell on my Etsy store.
I kicked things off by building the brand. Alora Occasions is all about delivering dreamy invites for weddings and various party occasions. 'Alora' is the Latin word for my dream, and it perfectly captures the essence of the events I'm catering to.
I’m very good when it comes to graphic design, which has helped me build the face of my shop, the logo and banner. I’ll reveal the store in a later post. If you’re not the best graphic designer but have some creative skills, use Canva to build out your branding
And if you truly have no design skills, then hire a freelancer to make you a quick logo and banner. Remember to keep it all aesthetic and professional looking.
The next big step I’ll be carrying out is designing the invitations. I’m very busy with my other businesses so won’t have time to make these myself but do work with some great freelancers who will be designing them for me. I’ll be paying around £10-15 per template. All this progress packed into the last 2 days has me feeling excited to get this project going for everyone.
I can’t stress the importance of planning your side hustle or business properly so you can get moving in the right direction. Remember failing to plan is planning to fail, never forget that. Although this has a been a small update, I just wanted to keep everyone updated. I’ll go into more details in future posts, if I ever miss anything just ask in the comments.
Also just an update on the book club, we have decided on our first book which is the four hour work week. If anyone wants to join the book club as always it’s not too late just comment and let me know.
