My girlfriend and I are ready to take the next step in our relationship and I want to honor that by proposing to her.
My idea is to throw her a birthday party and then in the midst if it, propose to her in front of all of her friends and family. (I’ve asked her flat out how she imagines her proposal and friends and family being there was the biggest take away).
My only issue is I’ve never planned a party before in my entire life. My idea of a party is putting burgers on the grill and beers in the cooler. I know enough that that won’t be good enough for my future wife 🥴.
Here are some of the necessities:
Her bday is 9/1, so will most likely host the party 9/3/22.
We currently live in NYC, but we will be moving to San Diego (my job) prior to September. Her family is spread all over too, but I figured NY would be a central location for everyone to get to. So planning a party while out of state will be a challenge
I have no idea how to budget for this. What’s a good budget?
How soon should I invite everyone?
Can I pay somebody to do this? How much would someone charge?
Tell me what I’m not thinking of? This woman is incredibly special and I want to create a memory that last 10 lifetimes.
