I require advice from the great parts council!
I've recently had a successful interview for a parts position at a small auxillary shop that's part of a three brand dealer campus in the Pacific NW. This is a shop that used to be more performance/accessories/tuning oriented but now focuses more on in-house stuff like PDIs, trade-ins, warranties, loaner fleet, etc. I guess it would be considered back counter. I've been offered $18/hour plus .55% of monthly parts gross from across the full campus. Average gross is $275k/month across all. This is VW Volvo Mazda. I've been in the parts game for about 25 years. Started at Pep Boys, did five years at AutoZone, then 15 years at a small retail/wholesale mom and pop specializing in European and Asian. Definitely not new to parts. Just new to the dealer scene. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to hit me with questions if you think I forgot to mention anything
